All About me

Hello my name is Masniari or you can call me Mas. I am Indonesian and have lived in the UK for 30 years.

I am a full time Nursing Associate at the local community, a wife, and a mother to four children and a dog.

I have been doing yoga on and off for 20 years. I feel my knowledge and my love of yoga will help me to achieve my long-awaited dream to become a yoga teacher.

I am a Qualified Yoga Teacher, with a Foundation qualification from Bahia Yoga and certified 200 hours Yoga Teacher training from My Vinyasa Practise. I have also done Yoga for Menopause and Perimenopause training.

I got into yoga when I was pregnant with my first child.

Yoga gave me the ability to control my breath work during pregnancy and help reduce stress and anxiety at that time. It has helped to improve my sleeping patterns and decrease any ailments that came with pregnancy. Yoga also helped and continues to help me to get back and stay in shape after the birth of my children, which is always a bonus.

Yoga has helped me deal with difficult situations throughout my life. I was in a domestic abusive relationship in the past. And yoga has helped me find my way after a traumatic experience  which helped me gained confidence and calmness within me.

I believe that yoga can be a powerful tool in healing trauma. Yoga has helped me grow as a person both inside and out.

Recently, I went through a menopausal journey. During this period of transition, I realise that there are small resources to support women going through the same. I am passionate about supporting others in the community. I did my Menopause Yoga and Wellbeing Teacher Training, which was led by the founder or Menopause Yoga Petra Coveney, the course also supported by menopause specialist Doctor, Dr Louise Newson. As well as being qualified and certified as a Menopause Yoga Teacher I am so passionate about supporting women during their menopausal stages, that I am now also a Menopause Wellness Practitioner.

I would love to share my experience and knowledge of yoga with you. It is important to find balance in both mind and body. So, I will be offering you yoga exercises for the physical body and breathing techniques to helps us calm the mind by improving our mental focus and concentration.

Based on my own personal experience, yoga has helped me embrace change, discover my own personal inner strength, build self confidence and helped me find my inner calmer happier self.

And I want to share the benefits of yoga with you.

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”
